Share Your Talents
Pledging to give does not just involve money. We would like to recognize and encourage people who donate time to serving others. This may be spending time with someone who needs companionship. It may be serving on a church committee. It may be contributing to music in the church such as by singing in the choir. It may be serving on the altar guild and preparing the church for services. It may be cleaning or repairing the church. It may be running sound and video services so that we can share worship with those who cannot be physically present in our church. It may be serving the community in and near Parkesburg. It may be reaching out by phone, letter, or email, to people who wish to remain in communication, but who have moved away from the area. It may be praying for people connected with Ascension Parkesburg who have asked for prayer.
There are a variety of ways that you can share your time with your church family. We would like to both thank those who do so and encourage all to consider pledging to donate time in the future.

Share Your Time
There are numerous ways that we can donate to our community that might not, at first, seem related to church. We are people with many talents, but we might not always recognize how those talents can be used to help others and to glorify the Lord. Consider the following, from the first letter of Peter: "As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God." (1 Peter 4:10)
Distinct from time or money that a person might give to others, using a skill to help others is a precious gift that we ask you to consider giving. What skills do you have that could help someone? They may be crafty, or technical, or practical. They may be creative. They may seem unimportant. Please prayerfully consider what skills you can use to help those around you.
